How's the dust and noise? I imagine it will be worse than a typical street pad. How would it compare to the stock pads?

The knuckles... well at least you didn't say soon... lol

Dust is moderate for race pads or heavy for street pads. Noise is high for the street, but moderate for a track pad. I am working with Wilwood to make custom pads for the six pot CTS-V / ZL1 calipers and the OE four pot rears for the road course guys. I am also putting together a SSsoon brake upgrade too. Amazing braking for a reasonable cost. To make the numbers work I'll be doing a Group Buy... soon!

4023 lbs is quite a bit of weight. Assuming roll cage is offset by gutting the interior, is the additional weight coming from engine and oiling system? That mother-load of oil should and all those containers, systems, etc. weigh something : ) Did you guys ever measure their weight?

Good question on daily driving the pads. Since the guys at JPSS have been tweaking my car and dialing it in, I haven't been in the same city as my car for a while now - I just pick it up on my way to VIR and drive the hell out of it and drop it off when I'm done. So, no time on the street with it. I am betting the pads will be loud, though. Might be able to tell you in May

I am don't have the inside line on the knuckles but am optimistic that I'll be trying them out sooner rather than later.

Pete

4k includes driver and gas. By our calcs if you are comparing "curb weight" the way that manufacturers report it, we're probably right around 3700.

I don't think we ever weighed it. 5 gallons of oil ain't light, though

My son looks into the garage and says, "Hey, I remember that car!" First night it's been in my garage since the old L99 died last summer.

Thanks man. CF would be great. Gotta work our way down the list of more important stuff first, though, probably next winter (drivetrain, aero, etc)
