My Chevy dealer is selling a "new" GT500...

It's true my chevy salesman says he has a 2008 GT500, convertible that still has the plastic on her. It's blue with white stripes on the sides and has a black top. It was traded in with like 100 miles on the odometer. He said he's looking for "high 40's" to sell it for. You could probably get it for 48K and the sticker was over 57k. I told him i'd put a feeler out there and see if anyone was interested. He also has a hardtop RT10 Viper 2006 (red) that recently came in. I could check on a price for that car as well. I'm still waiting on my Camaro, but I know there are a broad assortment of car lovers on this site...I live in southern Ohio..PM me and I'll give you the salesman's info...

What is your Chevrolet dealer doing promoting non-GM cars? There's nothing wrong with either car that you listed, but your Chevy dealer should be promoting new Chevrolets instead of almost new Fords or Chryslers. If you work for a Chevy dealer, try to sell Chevrolet first.

Most of the dealers that got chopped are going used anyway and will have all kinds.

The get them from auctions and what not.

Well, if a Chevy dealer accepts a Ford or Dodge in as a trade, SO THEY CAN SELL A CHEVY..... Then I think that same dealer is going to do all he can to move that car as well.
Hell, they probably dont even want the damn thing sitting on the lot, so they need to get rid of it.

Not to get into an argument here because it's really not worth my time... If you open up a news paper once and awhile you will see Chevy dealers listing specific used "fords", "dodge's", and all other types of cars in their new car add. There are plenty of Ford and Dodge guys on this site...And you say my dealer is an idiot for wanting to unload cars from his lot....

Not sure if I would want the vert some would rather have a coupe..... I would try to talk him down to mid low 40's... A 2010 coupe may cost that (mid 40's), but a vert will be over 50k. 2010 that is. But true, you would be hard press to sale a 08 for high 40's vert or not...I know I would buy a 2010 for that price.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."
