Hey guys I have a question, i wanted to know if this is an issue. When i start my car and i start moving when it shifts from 1st to second i hear a small "clank" sound, im wondering if this is an issue. I have an auto
also, the sound happens only when i start the car and go from 1st to second, if i come to a complete stop and start again i dont hear the sound. Seems like when it warms up i does not do it anymore, idk any suggestions.??? thanks guys |

I asked the same question last year as have a few others on this forum. Check for posts under clunking or slack involving the clutch last September on this site. According to those posters, this noise is normal for this car and the 6MT. My only comment would be if it is a grinding noise, that would not be normal and cause to have it looked at.

grinding is not normal. Clank (but not all the time) noise when shifting from 1st to 2nd when you are just creeping slowly along is normal. It will sometimes clank when you are driving very slowly in 1st and you push in the clutch just before you stop. Normal.
