Really bad front bumper mismatch
I just noticed today how bad the front bumper to rest of car mismatch is on the 2013 I bought, I know most the camaros have a slight mismatch (Hell my 2011 CGM i bought new the bumper always looked a different color). I didn't notice this really at all until the gloomy weather today, when the sun is out you can't really tell the difference. I'm thinking this front bumper was a bad repaint now, below shows the pictures today to a sunny day.
I was at a BBQ and some guy walking out was like "What you can't find someone to paint your bumper right? Let me give you my brothers number" lol. Gloomy Sunny |

I'd try to find one in the same color to compare. If theirs is similar, then must just be how they are. Have you run a Carfax or similar on it to see if it has any accidents noted? If there's no accidents, and you find others of the same color don't have this issue, I would thing the dealership would be able to resolve it under warranty?
Though just because Carfax doesn't report an incident, doesn't mean there wasn't one. It does have that look like some repainted only the fascia. Good luck with it, hope you get it resolved to your liking.

Carfax was 100% clean on it, I know that doesn't mean shit though. I was trying to look at photos and couldn't find any.

I was once told by a bodyshop owner "...there's no such thing as a bad match...there's just bad matchers...".
I once owned a silver '82 Mazda RX-7. The front bumper got scratched somehow, so I just masked off the front end, lightly sanded the front bumper and painted it with rattlecan aluminum paint, followed by a couple of coats of clear--it was an exact match to the rest of the car! Traded it in shortly thereafter and no one was any the wiser.

yup, had to have an AM spoiler painted 2x due to mismatch(used GM paint code). Went w/ visual gut instinct and turned out 100% better.

That HAS to be a bad repaint. There is a "slight" difference in my white plastic front and metal quarter panels. On my Evo it was even worse, but yours, man...night and day. I'm sure some silver owners can chime in.

Yeah, its 100x worse in gloomy conditions. When it's sunny it had a slight mismatch but not noticeable, this I just kind of walked out and was like wtf did my paint fall off and change colors?

From here it looks like a replacement bumper and a bad paint match.

Damn so I have an aftermarket bumper and a really bad paint job. The 26k I paid for this car is starting to now look like I overpaid. Guess I'll go by the dealer to quote a repaint on the bumper

Needs a repaint.. Just got my ZL1 bumper redone because the match was bad. Bummed that I spent almost 1k to paint a damn bumper, but I am much more pleased that it looks pretty similar.

Well its obvious I am an idiot who can't tell the front bumper was ****ed lol. The 26k price I negotiated seem good for the minor things it needed but the bumper is another story.
I got it from a reputable dealer, Vandergriff Chevrolet. Maybe I'll take it back up there and bitch, I already signed papers for the car so they wont do anything but I can still bitch lol |

The lip on the wheel well behind the marker light is also off, I'm thinking they didn't mention anything about an accident ??
