No, 100 pounds on the Z/28 from many things, not just the trunklid. but how much weight savings on an SS just by changing the trunklid, idk

I would have loved to see how the Z28 would have looked with the 2013 styling.

So is a trans cooler standard now for the 2014 SS or was he mistaken? It wasn't standard for 2013 and I haven't heard anybody else say that.

I love the styling of the 2014 model and it does look a little more aggressive I like the lights of the 10-13 models but it always felt like something was missing I love these new taillights on the 14 and plan on getting one soon as I can

I like the new front end styling. But the 2014 ZL1 will have the same front end as the 2012/13 models. The new rear styling looks poorly proportioned. I don't like the bumper/valence treatment. And the tail lights look like they were pulled off a shelf at Home Depot. Maybe it will grow on me but def not digging it. Showed it to a friend of mine who is not a car guy and his immediate response was: "that looks like a Toyota". Not good...

The front is similar to the Jetta hybrid 2013, the rear came from a prelude, imagine this camaro with 4 doors. Maybe then it will look right. Aggressive looking ???

First time to comment.
I have been on Camaro5 since the beginning, and owned a 2010 2ss, but got tired of the payment! I wish I still had one, and probably will get another one, but it will not be a 2014. I personally do not like the look of the new 2014's as well. It is still cool and a Camaro but I think GM went the wrong direction. It is starting to look too generic, like other cars. It doesn't look destinctive as the 2010-2013. The front end is what bothers me the most. The RS looks wall eyed. Like a pug. If they would center the halo's it would look better. The lower grill is bigger, but then is covered partially, and the parking light openings should be on the same level as the grill. The tail lights are ok and they are trying to be like the 69's but they are too flat and boring. The lisence plate opening is too big, out of proportion. Certain angles the front upper grill/headlights bucket area looks similar to the 1982-1992 front headlight bucket area. The 2012-13 toyota camary has a similar front view. The 2014 Camaro just doesn't grab you like the 2010-2013. The problem with doing a retro theme is where do you go from there. I'm sure thats why GM was hesitant to do it when Mustang did it in 2005. I'm also thinking GM wanted to slim down the looks of the Camaro because it has gotten criticism about being bulky looking. I personally think it (2010-2013) looks muscular and tough. I think the new design has stretched everything horizontally trying to give it a slimmer look. They should slim down the belt line, lower the side window area. From the A pillar to the B pillar should angle down a bit more. Plus this would help with visability also. All that said the 2014 Camaro is still cool looking but just a slight mis-step. Hopefully, and I'm sure it will, the C6 Camaro will look awesome! |

I've seen videos, HD pictures. Unfortunately seeing it in person won't change my mind I highly doubt. The only refresh for the ZL1 is the rear end and that alone won't make me trade in my current 12MY. The fact you were chosen to attend the event, I don't see you ever saying anything negative about the refresh. How would that look if you decide to do that? It wouldn't be in GM's favor.

Knife. Or hammer? One is sharp, one is blunt. Both can be effective tools. So let's just say they are both aggressive.
