I did it last year, it was pretty fun but there was too many cars and they need to work on traffic logistics. Not planning to go this year.

I will be probably there but only as a spectator. This will be my first time going to one of these, so I want to go to see what it is all about.

I ran at the Ocala event back in January.
If you've ever run 1/4 mile with your car, I dare you to tell me you never wished you could stay in the throttle when you got to the 1/4 mile mark. This is a chance to do just that. What a blast.

Does it bother anyone else that their policy is that if the event is cancelled for any reason outside of their control (e.g., weather) they will not reschedule nor refund? I understand not refunding, but I'd think you'd at least reschedule.
I'm just not sure I am willing to pay $400, and just lose it if there are bad storms that weekend...

They have to pay to use it that day regardless of the weather.

Guys, if you have a chance to do this, go for it!! I did the Ocala 1/2 mile event and it was the most fun I've had racing since I left the streets.
Can't wait to do this again. We had a slippery track with a 40 mph cross wind on Day 1 at Jumboair Ocala. Spinning for an entire 1/2 mile at 150 MPH was incredible. Everything you think you know about 1/4 mile racing goes completely out the window. No traction off the line, feather the throttle in between shifts, correct steering at the 1/4 mile when the wind hits you, pray that you don't spin out. That about sums it up on every pass. Loved It!!
