new puddle lights
thx to the idea from searching on here, I got some puddle lights the other day. easy to install and wire up thanks to help from you guys. hardest part was taking off the door panel because it feels like its breaking when it pops out. other than that, im happy with the result! got mine from Mrkustom.com for $30.00.

Looks good. Do you have a picture from further away? I'm interested in buying them.

Awesome I really like that one. Install is super easy too depending on where you wire them. I wired so they turn on and off with the opening of the door. Heres the thread that everyone helped me with. Everyone was really clear on where it was so the whole thing took about an hour. Post pics when theyre done! (Sry my camera isnt working so I cant get more up yet)

i dont understand. i asked my dealer about doing footwells and cupholders lighting and he wants $389 installed to do it. says its his cost. the part is like $400 off GM. whats the difference between GM and the $30 ones.? that is a huge price difference.

i contacted my dealer today, and he told me if i put in aftermarket lites, it would void my warranty. autoanybody has them cheap. but, he is 10 times more money for the GM install. what gives?

Since we have this smiley...
They can't void the whole warranty. They can void the electrical portion that it would connect to, though. Maybe find another dealer? |

It's why we call them "stealerships." They have to make money, yes, but that's just crazy. LEDs are generally cheap. The puddle lights I bought were $30 and self install took a couple hours. Dealers charge a ton for labor, most of which you can do yourself. The footwells I installed were about $30 as well and the install took an hour.
