Angry Terrible dealership

So I took my car into the dealership here in Barrie for a few warranty concerns:
- Weatherstripping on rear window fell off
- Breaks were squeaking
- When the gear shifter is moved left and right in neutral, a loud squeaking/rubbing is heard
- The rear fenders were beveling outwards

They took my car for two days. Today I picked it up, and they replaced the front breaks (which I had no complaints) and they fixed the rear fenders so they are aligned properly.

THEN I get in my car, turn it on, and I see that they used a quarter and a half of a tank of gas (I left it there over half full, and it was under a quarter when I picked it up) so someone obviously took it for a joy ride, the shifter squeak is even louder than before, which means they didn't touch it, and there was literally 6-7 piles of bird shit on the car. I brought the service person out to show them the shifter noise again, and she tried to explain how it is suppose to sound like that. There is NO way it is suppose to sound like that.

Tonight (same day) I was out cleaning/waxing the car because of all the bird crap, and I open the trunk and the new weatherstripping they put on fell right off.

Am I overly upset, or am I in the right to be? Anyone have any recommendations on how I should proceed with this?

Thanks,
Slake

that's why I always take a picture of my mileage when I drop off the car.

Yeah no kidding. I guess I'll have to. I just think it's completely unacceptable to the point I don't even know what to do. I don't even want my car back there, but I don't want them to just get away with it.

It's warranty work- you don't have to take it back there. Find a new dealership. I've been to some terrible ones too (Reliable in Dallas) and then I found an amazing one. It's just luck of the draw. Try to find one in a more upscale area that sells more of the high-end Chevys (Vettes, Camaros). They seem to care more and employ better people in my experience.

I had the same issue with my dealership i bought the car from...im not going to be going back to them ever...when i went to pick up my car after the warranty work was complete they had added 50 miles to my car and used over half a tank of premium gas. Never got any of that back and obviously someone took my car for a joy ride cuz after i left the dealership my car it didn't drive the same way it did when I dropped it off and to this day its not the same...

Doesn't your dealer write down the mileage when they accept the car? I thought that was pretty standard practice. Even the crappy one's I've been to document the mileage when you come in, that way there's no dispute over this.

When I took my car into Shaheen for the tire vibrating issue, they put about 40 miles and used up nearly 1/4 tank of gas. In that case I did expect that. They needed to get the car out and drive it to experience the vibration. Do various things, then test it again. I'm not sure if they needed to use 3/8's of a tank though.

In Oshawa Jekyll and Hyde and myself spoke to Kevin. He was an engineer that worked on the brakes. He explained to us the whole deal with the brake weights, and Mikey mouse ears. It was quite interesting. In some circumstances the brakes are noisey. Like first thing in the morning after dew has set on them. He said that it didn't hurt anything, and it goes away once the car has been driven and braked for awhile, but they had to do something to fix it as that would be a complaint.
