Are you doing all your driving in the city - lots of stop and go - short trips? If so, 16-17 sounds about right (especially with a little heavy foot added in). That will kill your mpgs.

yeah you live in Brooklyn NY. If you got to drive at 65 for a long period of time you would see much better gas mileage

Hwy speeds 70-75 even with air on I get 25-27. Automatics dont quite do as well as manuals. Heavy foot and city traffic=16-17 mpg is my guess

Average MPG is one stat - what's your average MPH? Higher average MPH usually coincides with higher average MPGs.

Take a weekend rode trip to upstate or out on the Island and see what you get. Try to keep it under 80mph, LOL

Could be, but if you typically drive between 75 and 90 and "punch it a lot"... you won't get good mileage. Sounds like you just nee to learn to drive for MPGs, if that's what you want. You're not doing that now, for sure. But have fun!

What's the "Average MPH" show on your Driver Information Center screen? Although you average 75-90 on the freeway, that's not what your average MPH will show up on the screen as. I drive 70+ all the way to work and the highest I've seen my average MPH show up as is 45mph.

If you're idling at stop lights your average speed and MPG will go down. If you're creeping along in traffic, your average mph and mpg will go down. If you start the car and let it warm up before you leave in the morning, your average MPH and MPG will go down. Etc.

Yeah - see that's what I was talking about.

For a comparison -
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=55

If your average MPH is only 28-29 -- do you do a lot of city traffic leading up to the freeway? A lot of stop and go in rush hour? Something is causing the driver information center to calculate a lower average MPH and MPG.

When you hop on the freeway next time, reset the average MPH and MPG and see what you get while you're doing the normal 75-90mph drive.
