1st Gen SS stripes and dimentions
I just ordered a 2010 RS/SS in black.
I did not order the decal stripes because I wanted the car to ultimately be customized toward a more retro look (1969). I am planning on having the twin SS stripes painted on the hood and trunk. Does anyone know the width of the original 1969 SS stripes and how far they were spaced apart? Also, in order to make sure they look proportional, how wide is the hood or front end on a 1969 SS? Thanks in advance, |

Just for the record the stripes you describe are the first gen Z28 stripes. SS's had various versions (3 in all) of the "hugger stripe" on the nose. The only exception, and the only first gen SS to have the Z28 stripes was the '69 Indy pace car.
