It's just a car...

I'm tired of people saying "it's just a car" when you tell people don't touch or lean on the car.... It's not theirs and they don't have to pay for it.

It's not just a car... and they don't have live with little scratches if they scratch my car from the back of their pants leaning on my car... or from them touching th paint when it's dirty..

Why can't people just respect other peoples property and wishes ??

So what's your best response to this ?

Tell them, if you would have wanted to buy a car with a person attached to it, you would have purchased it that way, and you'd have chosen one with someone smarter and way better and looking they they were, so back off you ugly dummy.........

There isn't ONE PERSON on this forum who looks at the Camaro as JUST a car.

If someone says to you ITS JUST A CAR, it shows they aren't a 'enthusiast' they dont ' get it '.

You need a response?

How about:
Since my car cant tell you to **** off I will.
Please dont sit on my ****ing car, how would you like it if I was sitting on yours?
Are you retarded? The benches are over there
If this is just a car, then whats yours? A Shit box?

Sorry, I'm a little jaded at the moment to people saying "its just a car".

Ya, it is ''just a car'' but to people like us, this is our passion and our hobby..

Next time look at your wife and say
"There just a pair of shoes"

There ARE people on this forum who feel it is just a car. I've seen them respond to threads like this with that exact statement...they will probably be here in a little while....

My response is usually, "You just don't understand."

Another thing that kind of bugs me, is when people "play down" their car, as though it's no big deal to own it. A co-worker of mine recently bought a new Infiniti G37, and although that's not the highest $$ Infiniti available, it's no Ford Focus either. I told her, "I love your new car" and she replied, "It's gets me from point A to point B." I wanted to say, "So would a Volkswagon Beetle, but that's not what you got....you got a car that reflects your achievements and your current status in life." But I kept my mouth shut.

Yes. there are quite a few "its just a car" comments. These are typically people who feel they get to decide what is important and of value to YOU.

Oddly enough they always think their "point of view" is more than "just an opinion".

Had a friend did that to my car once, and i gave him a ride to work. after he did that i stop giving him a ride to work. Its his responsibility to get to work on his own any way.

Yeah people don't care about or respect for other people properties. If they said its just a car, then how bout you go over to their house and burn it. And said Its just a house who cares. See how that feel.

Drives me crazy when people say "it is just a car(Or bike)". They are the ones who own a car just to get from point A to B.

Sorry ,but I do agree that it's just a car. There's a lot of other things in life way more important than a car. But, this doesn't mean that I want people messing with it. What your talking about is respect ,and it seems as though very few people have that now a days.

For most people, a car is the second most expensive thing they will ever buy.

Being a Camaro isn't really the issue. Being tens of thousands of dollars of my property is. And when it comes to my property, I have a right to ask that it be accorded some respect.
