I'm working on it....getting a baseline dyno done on Wednesday afternoon. Way the schedule looks, it may not happen until the latter half of March, though. Arrrrrggggghhhhhh! I will get some of the small things done, like the gauges, new exhaust, etc. Still waiting on a Mike Norris catch can, anyway, so I guess it all works out.

Who is doing the dyno/ tune?

I am going to have Motiva do the baseline, and talk to them while there about the follow on tune after all items are installed. Got a better suggestion? Also, the Dyno run got pushed to Friday.

I'm tuned through Motiva. My reason is they have done just about all of the 5th gens around here so they have the most experiance.

Good luck man... I need to swing by Motiva tomorrow thought I might see your car tomorrow but I guess not.

Dyno Day

So, I got the car dyno'd Friday. They only did 1-1/2 pulls instead of the normal 3. This run is with the stock PCM tune, LT headers, and a cold air intake. In the graph, my dyno run was run #1. Result was 388RWHP/372RWTQ.

Small mods.....

Got a couple of small mods done this weekend, one of which will facilitate the blower install later, the other was more "decorative"...

Exhaust install

So, finally replaced the mutated factory pipes. I installed a polished 3" system with high-flow cats. It doesn't have the same volume of sound that the other setup had. It mellowed the tone some as well as reducing the dB level a little...until you stick your foot in it!

Also ordered the ZL1 fuel pump, ZL1 fuel pump controller module, as well as a reservoir to seperate the clutch from the brake reservoir.

Coming along nicely. It's funny that the supercharger is cheap when you start adding up all the little stuff you need to turn the bad boy up

Might want to start thinking about what clutch you want to go with as well. Mine was slipping pretty bad on 550hp with my first setup.

Yep, been looking at various clutches. What are you running now? I was thinking about a single disc setup.

Mcloed RXT twin disc.

I don't think there are any single discs around that can handle over 600hp. The highest HP camaro in the state is running the same clutch and it's holding up to his power. The pedal feel is actually softer than stock. I really like it. no more burnt clutch smell either.

The frustration...

Sooo, I replaced the stock SS fuel pump last night with the ZL1 pump, and ran into a little snag. The front right rear suspension crossmember bolt came out about 3/4 then stopped cold. Tried my 1/2" impact, but the bolt just laughed. I tried my 30" 1/2" breaker bar, the bolt turned, but required serious effort. I finally ended up using the handle from my Craftsman floor jack in conjunction with my 1/2" ratchet to finish removing it. This is what I discovered...
