That would be a decent setup but I'd still recommend high flow cats.

If you can meet up with people locally and hear their different exhaust setups, that's where you're going to find the answer that's right for you. You can read opinions on the internet all day and it may do you no good.
He's right, videos don't do any of these justice either. In person is the way to go.

I have the Solo muff delete and it is not what you want if you want bass/deep. It has a higher tone than stock muffs. I love mine but def not for you. I have magnaflow on another car and consider that deep and mellow sounding but any muff you strap on will drop volume so you'd have to do Cats or headers too if you want volume as well. Cuz even a Muff delete is not very loud.

I had flowmasters on my second Corvette. It was a beautiful bass rumble in particular at start up & idle.

Yeah buddy!! I bet you're stoked! Shoot me a PM and we can set something up...maybe beers or whatever. Now that it's summer, Sat nights ought to bring a few things at the local shops, too...

I stay pretty busy with a 3 year old, and a 2.5 month old, but I'll find some spare time in there

Flowmaster is what you are looking for. I've got the Flowmaster Pro Series axle back and its deep and smooth. Here's a video. This is a bit tamer than the Flowmaster American Thunder which I would also recommend.

Love my Corsa it is perfect for me..........if I wanted something with a lower frequency/tone I would go Flowmaster.

I never really liked the Magnaflow tone on any of the cars/trucks I have had them on, but everyone has different tastes.

I'm a older Big Block lover....I have heard many exhausts that make the Camaro have an even more exotic sound, some make the exotic sound deeper....the only true muscle car sound that I liked and didn't break the bank was the Flowmaster Outlaw. I have a cam, porting, CAI, and tune, and this system sounds awesome.

LTs are important for this.

Lts to get volume and tone, HF cats to cut down on rasp, and a muffler/resonator to quiet it back down.

I have 1 7/8" LTs, HF Cats, Stock resonator, SOLO Axleback:
