$100? You got off cheap

Depending on the wheel size, and how well they are packed, I've seen shipping on wheels vary from $100-160 a set of four. I had one customer in Puerto Rico that paid $700 for shipping a set of wheels/tires. Ouch.

When I shipped just 4 Midnight silver 20" OEM wheels it cost me $150.00

I sold them for $500 shipped, so I only made $350.

Lookk what I paid for shipping four wheels to California. Two per box. But I insured them for 6500.00 But I packed them each in a foam mattress pad, tarp and then had UPS pack them in styrofoam. I wasn't taking any chances.

Why isn't the buyer paying for shipping?

They do sometimes. It just all depends on how the deal is made.

Randy, it might have been the fact you shipped two per box. Shipping charges jump up quickly once a package gets over 20-25 lbs. Also, UPS stores are franchises and those places mark up the shipping to make more profit.

I go to UPS.com and do my own shipping now, just print out the label and tape it onto the box. Then I schedule UPS to pick them up at my front door.

$100? You definitely should have been cool with that price. I have paid much more in the past. Currently, dude only charged me $200 for my shipping...but I been doing this long enough to know the price went up somewhere else.
