It Isn't 4 to 6 weeks. My VIN was passed to me in FEB. My dealer told me that delivery was pending when the order went 4B00 on 2/3/2012. My dealer then told me delivery would be 'about 3 weeks'.

1) It is 6 weeks since 2/3/2012. If someone is saying the delay is 4 to 6 weeks from now, that isn't 4 to 6 weeks, that's 10 to 12 weeks.

2) If Q&A hold is normal and an operational standard why isn't there a 'code' for Q&A hold? If I was a dealer and I saw an order go (4B00) I would also tell my customer to start the financing. How do you expect the dealer to know the difference between:
(4B00-Delivery In process) and (4B00-10-12 week Q&A hold)?
Unless you tell them, which apparently happened 4 to 6 weeks after the 4B00 Q&A hold went in place.

I will love my 2012 ZL1. I know I will. I'm not complaining, and I don't mind waiting. It should be noted though that if I'm waiting till may for my 2012, I'll actually be waiting till June or July for my 2013, because I'd rather wait an extra 30 days for a new car rather than take a car that sat on a lot in the snow for 180 days.

correct... the hold for the ZL1 is 6 to 12 weeks... yes your ZL1 has sat for 3 months... no I wouldnt be as happy as If it sat for only 3 days IMHO... Yes dealers should have been notified... but wait they have! my dealer was told mid march!!! this is per GM! So no I dont blame my dealer.. I blame the misleading information provided by GM... In my buissness the customer is ALWAYS right... trust in this phrase and you will be successful...

Its not for sure yet but MAYBE i may be passing through there the 25th, 26ish,,,,,,, but thats not for sure yet i will let u know , that would be a great stop for lunch or dinner........But remember not sure yet.........

Mid March for a car built early Feb? That's not being notified, that's being mollified.

At least the people that have VIN #'s know that they will be getting their ZL1 as soon as the CQ matter is taken care of. They SHOULD be patient!

But for someone like me, who has a pending order placed in mid-December (still 2050), that was tentatively scheduled to be accepted by GM the day after the DOPS was postponed indefinitely, and others in the same boat; we are now starting to wander if our orders might end up being scrubbed. The longer this delay goes on, the more the chance of this happening.

I'm trying to be patient. And I would be much more patient if I knew my order was on it's way to production--even if it does mean a later delivery. I just hope they get the line up and producing soon!!!

This is exactly how I feel. I am not worried about the wait, as much as I am the condition of the paint when it arrives! My 2010 sat in Area 51 for 2 months of QC in April and May of 2009 and the paint and stripes were almost a complete disaster. So wonder how it will be this time :(

I am not even going to TALK about the condition our 2011 BLACK vert arrived in. Anyone ever seen the color, 'road salt white'? Almost rejected it. And that one, we have on video.
