WHAT IS A Z28?

Body design exactly like the real Bumblebee car from TF3 packing a 427 LS7 w/ an interior of a 1LT or 1SS except with non-ABL ZL1 style painted interior trim package and Gauge Pack, and to some people's dismay only available in Automatic as well.

Pick your best tool off the shelf and run with it. LS7 is the only logical shelf readily available weapon of mass destruction suitable. May I respectfully suggest you go the GMPP and see what a LS3 and LS7 crate motor cost. Then, look at a few other GM direct wholesalers who sell the same product for a margin less. It's not all that big a difference in price considering the big difference between the two in engineering.

LS7 is ~ $7,000.00 premium over LS3.

Then there's the supporting drivetrain, HD gearbox and diff. $3,000.00?

It has to stop as well as it goes, add ZL1 brakes $2,000.00?

Lighter wheels & fat tires $2,000.00? (easily)

Struts/springs/sways/bushings $2,000.00 (conservative)

GFX?

..... put the 427 in the LS and call it a COPO... oh wait...

Except for the LS7 price, the above is just a best guess, but a LS7 Z/28 would be close to ZL1 price.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a GREAT idea, but GM isn't gonna build it to give it away.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a GREAT idea, but GM isn't gonna build it to give it away.

I think that some of your pricing is a little high due to it's really only a trade up difference. That being said we're still at about $46 - $47K with your pricing. Plus using items that already exist creates better buying power causing cost reduction.

Strangely enough, you chose to comment on my post, when, my comments were nothing more than substantiating what Lowdown and 2ndchance have posted upon and said so many times before here in the Z28 forum for a production plan on the Z28 with the hardware and associated pricing. Read the threads, do some research, there's No Vacancy on my back thank you very much...
