I work a lot of hours, and my girlfriend works 2 jobs. I also own rental property. We split everything. Although I have only bought an CAI and a tune, we would prefer to put extra money towards any payments we have. Mods will come in time.

I'll give you the short version: I was working for a local municipality's water and sewer department when, like most areas, cuts had to be made. I was low on seniority, and being union, whether or not you're a hard worker or not is fairly irrelevant, so I found myself being on the 'chopping block.' I spent ten years as an on-call firefighter, and I made some good friends- one of them was a railroad conductor. I asked him about submitting my resume', and he told me they were about to hire 20+ conductors. I told him I just needed to bring home about "$500 a week" to maintain the same standard of living that I had at the city, and he laughed at me. I made it through the hiring process, passed all of my tests and certifications and here I am... doing what damn near every five-year-old boy dreams of doing someday (myself included). Most days, I really do feel like I am 'living the dream.'
