VERY VERY BAD NEWS ABOUT MY NEW CAMARO - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was driving down the highway,car bucked started knocking real bad. At the dealer with only 160 miles on it waiting to hear what happened.Sounded like top of motor not the bottom.More like a serious rattle with a misfire too.No check engine light just a bunch of banging metal. OUCH. I miss my car. got a AVEO for a rental.Kinda bummed but oh well $hit happens.
Anybody have any issues with the v6????

wow. That IS bad news! But the worst news is that they gave you an AVEO. I got a Traverse while my car is in the shop. It's huge, but at least it isn't an Aveo

Hopefully your issue gets resolved quickly!

drop a valve ? broken valve spring? where you hammering it when it happened ? mis a shift or hit 3rd when you want 5th type of event?

Back in 85 I brought my new Monte Carlo SS in and got a used 70's AMC Ambassador to drive.

Was this car ordered by you or off the lot? 160 miles is a lot for having possession for less than a day.

lot,i used to keep cars in my garage to look at,then sell them and still lose money

This one im gonna drive!!! LOL had 12 miles when i picked it up.

Just trying to rule out prior abuse. I bought mine to drive too, but only have 500+ on it since early Feb because of the weather. Breaking mine in the "Darren" method when I can. Do a search on this site to see what that is, if haven't already.

Hope it's something simple and you get her back Lightning quick!

No homo, but I don't see anything wrong with the Aveo...at least it rolls and isn't a Pinto. They've always given me a choice of cars: Tahoe or Silverado. I guess you gotta go big when you're a boss

To the OP: hope it isn't anything too serious. But at least it will be fixed or a resolution will come of it.
