You are a brave daredevil of a man to be rolling those skinny bias ply tires on the front of an SUV.

Wheels look good, though!

Actually, SUX is running the 26" tall "radial" skinnies (185/55R17). But I did previously have the 28" tall bias-ply skinnies on my car, and had no problems. No, I didn't take any sharp corners at 50 mph, but as long as I slowed down for corners, it was fine!!!

On the SUV part. Like blazzin1 said these are the radials. I do wish they made some a little taller. I thought about going with the taller bias ply, but like you said this thing is a tank and I want to drive these around a bit.

What are you running now? I just ran a 12.9 last weekend, stock tires, M 6, it took me about 4 goes to break into 12s, but I did it. Traction control off, launch at 2400 rpm, spinning in the groove and it finally grabbed, then it took off! Pulled a little double clutch maneuver! Down side, I need a new set of rear tires, good side I broke into 12s!

Those were cut off my pads when I first got my 18s about a year ago. Now I have Hawk ceramic pads.

Haven't been back to the track since my 12.35 @ 112.9. It's been 106* here for a couple weeks, so I won't be going to the track anytime soon.

Do you have the weights of stock fronts vs the skinnies? I'm thinking a difference of 30 lbs per wheel/tire combo.

Two stock fronts are 124.6 lbs.
My two 18" CTS skinnies with tires were 66.6 lbs (29 lb savings per wheel)
My two 17" Welds with tires are 68 lbs (28.3 lb savings per wheel)
