The sub box and material under amps and covering the new floor is micro suede that is very close match seats stealing wheel and shifter. Just a shade darker. Also sorry for poor pics. I ended up more focused on this trailblazer with kit 7 upfront and two inverted focal13 s. He also has kit 6 in back but had them off. Must have sat there for a good 45 didn't want to get out.

also wanted to stress this is not typical install. I am getting a good deal because I have known the guy for ten years, explicitly said multiple times to take all time needed, and will be competing on his team.

I see some techflex (I love techflex) and some very nice pillar work. They did a very nice job flushing those HUGE tweeters in those pillars. I'm getting kinda excited myself to hear your impressions once you get it back and it's all dialed in. It took my tweeters a couple of weeks to get broken in (I drive my car like once a week, maybe less), but once they broke in, OMG.

Oh yeah everything is tech flexed and color coded. I did not think he was going to work on the pillars today, and I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. The tweeters stuck out at first, but then he played around with the mounts because he had extras. What I mean is that he cut the bottom off with a grinder and 6 inch blade.

And before I get the third degree I realize the tweeter position is not optimal. It is best to have them angled or facing front, depending on preference. I did not want to go with fiberglass. I wanted a very clean stock looking mount. I might get tired of missing out on the left, but I can always have them remounted. The only thing that would probably satisfy me is to have the entire pillar wrapped in micro sued. Even then...

That placement is fine. The 6to8 will take care of any imaging issues with the tune.
