I know it's wishful thinking but if they're going to nickel and dime us for every change that is made, they should pass down the savings to the customer when parts are removed. Pricing hasn't been announced yet so we shall see.
The cost would have gone up regardless of the refresh. Prices increase year over year whether there's a refresh or not. Heck, they have price increases mid model year. A 2013 Camaro ordered today will cost more than one ordered at the beginning of the model year.

No ugly chrome strip, head lights assembly's are not the same and the grills are different. Those three things take it from a fail to a win.
RS vs Non RS

IMO those are subtle cues, not drastically different. The SS, 1LE and the Z/28 ('14) retain the same shape and style.

...Good call...but they might have been too small and in the wrong place...don't think the first gen ones were even functional....The '14s extractor is functional for sure....

haha the rear on the zl1 looks so out of place and now u can rly see how ugly it is compared to our sexy 2010's. they just basically admitted that the front of the new redesign is ugly and kept the old look on the zl1 and just said **** it slap the new rear on it and call it a day haha omg worst idea ever

This is also a great pic showing how stretched the 285s look on the rear of the 1LE. First thing I'll change on mine if I get one.

IMO The rear valance pannel is not low enough. You can see to much of the undercarriage. The after market will fix that issue..

Yeah I know but I'll take that over what they went with.

At least they could use the excuse that they were going retro with it.

Yeah, I see the difference now. It's not as big a difference as the 2013 ZL1 and SS/LT was.

Several subtle cues that makes a huge difference. Regardless the Z/28 look is more than just a splitter delete away from being the same as the SS.

Ok...Gonna just say it...I may look at putting the front chrome strip on mine once they are available, and if it would even fit...Personally, I love chrome accents...

Muscle cars without chrome?....What are you new?.....lol...

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember a GM agent mentioned that the new front fascia would not physically fit the ZL1.
