ZL1 Pedal Install Questions-Connector

I need some more details on how the connector is removed from the stock gas pedal please. As tall as I am, it is difficult for me to get under there for more than a few minutes and see anything.

I found a white (or grey) clip that I pinched on the connector at the end of the wire harness that plugs in to the stock pedal. After removing this clip (see red arrows) the connector is still difficult to remove from the pedal. Am I supposed to be pulling at the green arrow or the red arrow, somewhere else? I pulled pretty hard here and did not budge. Any other clips to pinch or remove? Any other tips? Thanks and much appreciated.

Unbolt the peddle first, to give you more room to un plug it. And pull on the grey part.

Good idea on the unbolt first. Can you be more specific than grey part? Thanks.

Use a small flat head screwdriver gently lift on the black tab and pull on the grey wire plug.

You pull on the grey part, as noted above (red arrows).

As with all OEM connectors, the grey tab in the center (circled in orange) is a lock. It will get stuck (and thus prevent the connector from unpluging...as designed). Depending on the connector, you can depress the grey piece and/or lift the black part with a screwdriver.

Where on the black part of the connector to insert the screwdriver is what I am trying to determine. It looks like in between the blue arrows is what you are referring too? See below:

Did you finally get the pedals intalled? What part number are they?

In the picture above, the grey lock is going to slide to the left and under the black "U" shaped piece. Depress the grey tab or try gently prying up on the black u shaped piece.

The blue arrows have nothing to do with the locking part of the connector.

Yeah, just sent you a PM.

For the clutch and brake pedals separate the aluminum and rubber by heating with a hair dryer. Carefully! Then put the rubber cover on the pedal. Then re-glue the aluminum cover back on to the installed rubber pad. 100% easier!

I got mine from Super Chevy Parts. They were the cheapest but shipping was pretty high in my opinion. They have a selection criteria to choose year, make, model so you should get the correct ones for your car.

Yeah, I was using the blue arrows to reference a comment by another forum member on where to pry. I did what you suggested and it came off very easily. Thanks.
