Talking 2013 2LT NPP Dual Mode Exhaust Questions

So my new manual 2013 2LT RS (V6 LFX Engine) has the Dual Mode Exhaust, which my previous Camaro did not have. I have a few questions,

1.) Does it improve performance? (Apparently Not)
2.) Does it sound different than the stock exhaust that my last car had (YES!)
3.) Can/Should I do the fuse pull as described here? http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=268970 (YES!)

Invoice added for reference

Side note: Any questions that don't get answered here, I will do a full report when I pick up the car on the 11th of June in a few days. My current car is a manual 2013 2LT RS (V6 LFX Engine) without the dual mode exhaust, and I've put 12,000 miles on it so I have a pretty good feel for the exhaust tone and the butt-dyno. Not sure how many people had the opportunity to do a test like this so I'm happy to report. Here's a link to the report: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=300421

I currently have the npp exhaust on my 2lt. The exhaust note sounds deeper and meaner than stock at idle yet when revving the engine it definitely has some rasp. I am trying to figure out how to fix that at this point. I can't comment on the performance benefit as it is the only exhaust I have had on this car. Apparently it adds 6 HP over stock on the SS models. Not sure if it applies in our situation. I haven't done the fuse pull but if you do it is totally reversible if you don't like the results.

I will do videos in cab and with the camera on the back with both cars.
I will also do a before/after video for the fuse pull.
I will also try to do some 0-60 times for the fuse pull but it wouldn't be anything accurate just me and some friends and an iPhone app.

I have this exhaust system on my 2013 LFX. I installed a remote relay/switch to act like the fuse pull. This basically makes it think the fuse is pulled when I hit the button. A switch like this can be had on amazon.com for a few bucks. Plus you have the option to make the sound back to stock when you want to be quiet. Search "mild to wild" as they use these on the ZL1's all the time to get the extra HP. I think that back pressure at lower RPMs is good, as it seems to have more power until it opens up at 3k plus...

All the mild to wild wireless switches I have found are about 85 bucks and for corvettes.... Got an amazon link?

I also have the NPP exhaust on my 2013 camaro. To be honest, I dont really like the sound of it, especially at high RPMs. It is too raspy and high pitched. I know it is a V6, but I used to have the 2010 V6 without the Exhaust upgrade and i liked that one better. At low RPMs it does have a better sound, but i dislike it at high RPMs.

I posted another thread about a week ago, and some people said that by putting an X-Pipe, it would help to reduce that rasp/high pitch. I have no clue though if this would work.

Does it improve the rasp and high pitch at high RPMs?

Amazon Link for the switch:

http://www.amazon.com/LOGISYS-RM02-r...s=LOGISYS+RM02

You will also need a fuse to sacrifice, or some kind of fuse connector:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I used an in-line fuse holder to protect the whole circuit. I'm an electrician so this was an easy plug and play harness to wire up.

I wonder if I could pick that up at a local electronics store and save myself some shipping costs...

At my age the hearing is not what it once was..........
I don't notice the rasp, exh sound is so loud!

I believe the high pitch is actually coming from the engine because I drive in Sport and shift manually.

I hope this helps
