Now with that being said, I could be completely wrong just my .02
I have, on track. You'd be right about the vast majority having never driven one though, but more importantly the vast majority here and on most forums has never been on a road course. I have not driven an SS on track, but I don't see any way in hell it handles as well as the 302 or gt500 and nobody should expect it to as it isn't meant to compete with either, it competes with the 5.0 and from what I have seen they are VERY close with a slight advantage to the mustang due to weight. The SRA has some drawbacks, but Ford has made it work surprisingly well and they have proven over and over that it can handle well. With the best possible IRS setup vs the best possible SRA setup, yes the IRS will absolutely handle better, but with IRS you will add cost and usually weight that can be useful elsewhere. The SRA isn't really holding the mustang back and the 5.0, gt500, and boss all will lay the smackdown on an 03 cobra on track despite the cobra running an IRS.

Then the 5.0 continues to tie the M3.... let alone the Boss.

just because a car has IRS DOES NOT mean it handles better.

And, so shall the "Fanboy" debate rage on.

As far as I am concerned, its great to have these choices. Enjoy 'em while we can. They're all pretty darn nice cars.

I don't. SRAs can be made to handle. Just because you have IRS doesn't mean it is a better handling car than anything with a live axle. I guarantee you my car with a SRA from the 80s handles better than yours. Being lighter helps a lot in the handling dept. as well.

People talk like SRA is automatically a bad design(handling, ride, etc.) since it's an antiquated design. Can't the same be said for the "ol' pushrod" LSx series if you are going to push that agenda ?

Don't you guys ever get tired of this. I would blow my brains out if I had to defend my car every five minutes. I hate to tell all of you ,but any of the three current muscle cars can be what ever you want them to be and run how ever you want them to run. There all good cars in there own way ,and I think each manufacturer took a little different approach when they design each one. Sitting here day after day and arguing the same points over and over again is never going to prove anything other than the fact that Chevy, Ford, and Dodge all make awesome muscle cars these days and we should be glad to be living in these time for the sole reason that these days are numbered.
