Don't be shocked, 97% of the cars that you see at car shows will have that same damage (most will be a LOT worse). That is what happens when you wash the car wrong and wipe on it with an improper technique and towels.

All of those tiny scratches add up and distract from your paint's true color and the overall pop of your shine. I've had a lot of guys tell me that their paint was flawless only to have their eyes opened with this test. At least you are man enough to show yours, most guys go run and hide after they see their pictures!

If you want to, save it for the fest and I'll show you first hand how to get rid of those. Your car will make a perfect demo car being black, and you can leave with the knowledge and equipment to do it correctly. Bring your video camera so that you can get me explaining it first hand. That way you won't have to memorize anything until you get home.

Alas, as much as I would love for, hell even pay a couple c-notes for, Junkman to do my car at the fest, Defenderworks will have my car for the day Saturday.

But, I will be bringing some Adams home with me for sure, AND watching him do his stuff.

Defenderworks will have my car from early Sat through the day. But I'm sure I'll learn plenty by watching you do others. You, sir, are 'The Man'

I'm just glad I didn't really screw it up bad.

Sweet, I'll see how it goes.

So, should I clay bar it and polish in the mean time? It's never been clay barred.

If you have never clayed it before, I know that it probably needs it but the first question you need to answer is, did you do the baggie test and did your paint pass the test? That's the sole determining factor for if your paint needs to be clayed or not.

It was actually kind of weird. WITH the baggie on my hand it felt like I was rubbing my hand on an orange.

WITHOUT the bagie, it felt really smooth.
