My wife backed her truck into my camaro. destroyed the driver side front fender panel. so when i got to fixing it I upgraded and got fender vents. I would use this opportunity to show her that you love her and then when you fix the car you upgrade parts. I bet with all the zl1 bumper upgrades you could find some ss bumpers on here for cheap.

Luckily my fiancé knows how valuable my car is. And luckily she can't drive standard. BUT believe it or not I do take her out to parking lots late at night and let her PRACTICE on my CAMARO yah that's right. It's my baby but its just a car. She kills my clutch ill just put something better in oh well. I want her to enjoy the car as much as I do.

Hell, you're not even married yet and she's keeping secrets from you?? I've been married to the same wonderful woman for 42 years and we don't keep secrets.

Ewwww... As others have said, that goes through the paint, which will necessitate a repaint.
On the other hand, I think I'd use that as an excuse to swap it for the ZL1 bumper |

update:
i went to 3 places around town to get estimates today... definately not a "small" fix like i was hoping, I live in the bay area so obviously anywhere I go Im going to be bent over, but the CHEAPEST place I found was maaco (which ive never been a big fan of) who says they will leave the bumper on, spray it and blend it, and it will be around 550-600. the other two places wanted between 950-1200 for removal and repaint.... I wish I could just live with the scratch but its just too noticiable, this is going to hurt my mod money for a few months.

This. Go to maaco to fix the front facia and next thing you'll know you'll have paint coming off the trunk lid. They're THAT good at messing things up. That's why theyre the cheapest by far. Only way they can compete. If you ask me maaco only exists to get a beater looking halfway passable before selling it..
