Thumbs up My Magnaflow Catback and SOLO High Flow Cats

Finally wanted to make a post of my experience thus far with my exhaust system. Got the Magnaflow Catback and SOLO High Flow Cats installed in under 5 hours total in my garage with the one set of helping hands.

Install was fairly simple (I didn't do a full DIY because there are PLENTY already). As everyone said the right side cats were harder but not impossible. I found them actually fairly easy from under the engine. I've worked in much more difficult areas before.

The sound is obviously improved, from the first start up! I feel like this is how our Camaro should sound from factory. The set up is not LOUD, but is definitely noticeable. I've already had compliments from neighbors and friends. I didn't want anything too far out, wanted to keep it looking clean and sounding clean.

Made a few short videos (use some ear buds to get a good understanding of the sound). Still need a cold start video (it'll be coming soon!).

It's kind of hard to tell in the videos what it sounds like from the rear?? Were you letting off as your pass the camera man each time? That's what it seems like to me?

How about an idle/rev vid?

Seems like it possibly sounds great? I think I need to try a different computer maybe?

I was actually thinking Magnaflow might be the choice for my car this morning, but hadn't had a chance to look up vids yet.

You have a lot of $$ invested into your exhaust. Sounds pretty good since you werent going for a super loud exhaust. How to do you the high flow cats? Ive read for the money spent, the power felt just isnt there. Wats your opinion?

I also think you shouldnt let off when you pass the camera, we will hear it a little better

Yeah guys I let off as I passed lol, I'm going to redo these videos and also make a cold start/idle. Sorry about that, I hear exactly what you guys are saying. Obviously you can tell its my first time at this.

And to be honest, not sure if it's worth all the money but I did receive discounts on both products.

Power wise, the delivery is much smoother and there is definitely a gain, is it worth a few hundred bucks, idk, depends how much you have to work with. But I definitely needed to change the exhaust, I was tired of sounding like an Impala family car....

One of the main reasons for going with the 1LS was to have money leftover for mods like this, and I'm happy with the results.

Get us a cold start/idle.

Then give us some revs.

and if you do more drive by vids 1) get on it as your going by and stay on it and 2) give us a medium to low rpm pass by at slower speeds so we can hear what it sounds like cruising. That's what I'd love to hear.

Thanks!!

There is really no drone with out the cats. Just a nice low hum, but when you spend the money don't you want to hear your car when driving around. If you don't want the obnoxious loud sound go with Magnaflow, if you do go with MRT.
