My interview with Chevrolet at the 2013 Toronto Autoshow

Hey guys,
Chevy just posted this today on their website and I thought it was pretty cool. I gave my shoutout to the 1LE at the end of the video. They cut out some of my ramblings about the suspension, but they still left a good part in for the more basic stuff I mentioned for the purposes of the video.
Enjoy!

Seeing that white 1LE at the autoshow is actually what helped me decide what colour to get and that it needed to be a 1LE.

You guys are hilarious hatin' on us Canuks. I travel a lot between the 2 countries and really there isn't that much different between us. Here are a few differences though that I've found.
  • if you order "iced tea" in Canada you'll automatically get sweet tea
  • in Canada we refer to a carbonated soft drink as a "coke" regardless of the brand where you guys call it a "soda" (for the most part depending on where in the US)
  • in Canada we say "Zed" instead of "Zee" ...don't know why you guys find it annoying, but that's just what we do as per the British roots.
  • We spell a lot of words with "our" where you guys will just use "or". For example we spell it "colour" and you spell it "color" or "labour" and "labor". Again, British roots.
  • Canadians on average probably know more about American politics than they do about Canadian politics. I can't say if that's fact or not, but I know that the news puts more American stuff on TV here than we do Canadian stuff.
  • American's are passionately involved in politics (bumperstickers, casual conversations, TV coverage etc). Canadians for the most part don't emotionally get involved.
I was recently in southern California and met a guy from Utah. We were probably talking for over a half hour getting along great. Then he asked where I was from. I told him Toronto.

"YOU'RE A CANADIAN?!" He said to me. "I HAD NO IDEA!?" "You don't sound any different than we do?" "I thought Canadians say 'EH' and talk about hockey. You must not like hockey."
That really cracked me up.

We do a few little things different, but other than how we pronounce "Zed" and how we order iced tea, we have identical cultures.

Eastern canadians say Zed, western say zee, for the most part. Its a zee el 1 for me.

And soda up here is 'pop' not coke. East and west vary quite a bit.

Good point, we say "pop" here in the east too.
But we don't say Zee.
