Everyone please put this in perspective. Dealers are "Jacking" the price well over msrp" in order to make a quick buck. I really don't think some of the sales people are considering the long term ramifications. How many of you only have only ONE car in your family??? Exactly my point. That 2nd, 3rd or 4rth and 5th car could be a toyota just as easily as a GM product!!!! Dealers--don't screw the pre-orders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1: )

If they don't come clean tomorrow, post here and mobilize the troops If they start getting flooded with phonecalls and angry emails, they may just realize the can of worms they're opening

Please....let me know if they don't follow through.

Dealers who are members here and who screw over our other members are NOT WELCOME here. They will forever be removed from our boards and have ALL of their posts REMOVED. We WILL NOT TOLERATE the screwing over of GM LOYAL CUSTOMERS.

I do not see how they can LEGALLY wrote you up an order for an agreed upon price and pull that......it has to be illegal. I would call the STates better business bureau, the news and get a crap load of friends and family to meet there with signs that say what a rip off he is and stand out in front with signs to let EVERYONE know.

They are lucky it is not me, It would get very ugly.

No they don't. Not in California (or most places). The dealer, just like the consumer, has the right to back out of a deal whenever they please. You can sign the paperwork/contracts and the car is still not yours until you PHYSICALLY drive the car off the lot. The only thing the dealership is OBLIGATED to do is give back your deposit. THATS IT.

BTW I worked at a couple different dealerships. What dealership "in the bay area" is this?

Yes, because he is willing to physically assault someone and lose his freedoms.

This is actually a good idea. I would bring about 20 people in with me all in trench coats and wearing sunglasses when I am ready to make my purchase..
