I guess your idea of original design and mine are different. The 70 was the second design, complete new body/chassis design and engine, to me second is not original.

Kind of got off track. Going back to the title, I don't see how buyers of the 1LE are getting the shaft. That would be like saying the SS buyers got the shaft when both the ZL1 and then the 1LE came out.

I never said it was original. You're welcome to read my comments in the Z28 section where most of my post reside. Trust me I'm a diehard 1Gen Z28 fan.

To me 1LE owners are not getting any shaft. They are getting what may be the best performance bargain on the planet. While the new Z28 will be a little faster, owners will pay dearly for that extra kick.
Also to me the 1lE is a more pure performance oriented name than Z28. While the first 3 years of the Z28 was related to racing, most Z28 models were just the V8 Camaro and the 1LE was the racing Z28 model. So 1LE > Z28 in those years. And only people in the know knew what the 1LE was. They did not need badges, they just wanted a car with the good stuff and were willing to live without some of the creature comforts of the plusher luxury Z28. And while Nav, Sunroof, and all the other electronic goodies may not fit the 1LE idea, it is very cool they left off 1LE badges. The 1LE has only ever been the HiPo Camaro and the owners of 1LEs belong to a select club. Lots of people had Z28s. I've owned 2 of them.

LS7 is a great motor but nothing your LS3 with Nitrous, Supercharger or Turbo can't handle

Can anyone please tell me how we've gone from a typo in a 2014 spec sheet to the LS7 "being all but certain"? Have I missed something??

Once it makes its way around the Internet, people take it as fact. If it's on the Internet it must be true

There were 2 typos if that's what you want to call it. The LS7 was listed as an engine for the Camaro twice. Also, nobody has completely debunked the finding. Was 7.0L a mistake too. Have you read the document?

A modern day Z/28 has no such cap so why limit it? I don't think the 5.5L is anything other than a racing engine which also is limited in displacement. |
