That and gears. if you are drag racing or roll racing gears are the great equalizer(or unfair advantage) The guys running GTOs have gone up just 13%
in tq mulitplication with 3.91s in place of the 3.46s. Every car I have run stock for stock with 3.91s has just killed me.
And the 5th gen Camaro guys forget how much taller your tire package is than a 3rd, 4th gen or GTO's It's about 13% taller than those.
So you guys are already at a "disadvantage."
Put some gears in the V6's or the V8's for that matter and you will be impressed with it as any mod, save for F/I.

I'm already running a shorter tire(26" compared to 28.7").
It took the rpm's into the either shift to 4th the last 100' or so or you're hitting the rev-limiter. I have something in the works for that, though. Hello, Vince?

JUST FYI ...

Back in July I was at the track and there was a guy there with a 10 GT 5 speed. He ran 13.8 bone stock (da was 2023ft). He said his best time was 13.5 in cooler Fall weather.

That same day with my base V6 11 Stang, I ran several uncorrected 14.0's with a Hypertech tune and nothing else. Keep in mind, I have an automatic with 2.73 gears. Corrected, I ran a 13.68.

Later in the Summer and without the tune, I ran an uncorrected bone stock time of 14.26 (corrected = 14.0).

Shall I ask how basic training was? Where are you headed?
And welcome back.

Haha. You can say that again. I'm going to try to get to it this weekend, otherwise it'll have to wait until the weekend after next. I have drill the 9th-11th.

BCT wasn't really that bad. Physically difficult, sure. But the mind games the DS's play really didn't affect me. Probably because I knew what they were doing.

AIT was a breeze also. Graduated as distinguished honor graduate. Now I'm back home and just have to do my drills once/month (I'm a reservist).

Ok, back to topic, was it a auto or manual transmission that this run was made with?

If your implying that a 10 GT is faster than a Camaro V6, or even bolt-on Camaro V6 I'd agree (assuming both drivers had optimal runs the GT should be faster down the 1/4). But it appears an E85 tuned, bolt on V6 Camaro is more than capable of giving an 05 - 10 GT a good run.

If you weren't really implying anything and just putting info out there...well thats good too lol.
