I just watched the video on my 60" Sharp Smart HDTV and it was almost like sitting in the car, except no G-forces but the exhaust sound on my sound system was great too.

Just a bit late to this party.

Belated thanks to Pete.

Speaking only for myself, there is the annoying idea of having to give too much credit to the electronics. Maybe I'm greed or old-fashioned about this, but I'd really prefer to extract my cars' performance by virtue of whatever skill level I possess than give most of the credit for a hero lap to a bunch of silicon wafers and bits/bytes of programming.

Ya think??

I can deal with anything that's technically correct or at least defensible. The vitriolic tone and the overstated differences, not so well.

The 1LE does make a good "bogey" for those of us with Mustangs and who favor roads that would rather not stay straight for more than a few hundred feet at a time.

You should expect temperature to be at least as important a factor with R-compounds as with the G:2 Goodyears that are found on the ZL1 and 1LE.

As a car enthusiast first, some (maybe a lot) of that Assault thread is an assault on enthusiasts as much as it is against the specific car.

The more I think about this, the better I like it that conditions were not ideal. Leaves a little mystery.

About what I'd guess. Think maybe I did a few months ago.

I didn't realize the Trofeo tires have a 40 treadwear rating. Makes the 7:37 all the more impressive given the cold + damp conditions...
