The 'click' indicates that it's one of two things... A bad connection between battery and starter, or a weak battery. I'd guess you need a new battery...

If you weren't getting the solenoid click, it'd mean that something in the car's computer or electrical system doesn't want the car to start - that could be much harder to diagnose...

Lemon law isn't just 3 visits...it also takes into account how long the car is in the shop.

That being said, the lemon law also varies from state to state, so if it ever comes to that you should research your states laws.

Well considering that ive only had it a week and its not been running over half of that period isnt a good sign.Id tried jumping it off again to no avail,
so tommorrow will be the second time its had to be hauled to the dealer.

Chevys are great cars

I'm certain it's something simple like a loose connection to the starter motor. Hang in there and make them fix it...afterward you will be rewarded with the ride of a lifetime. Good luck!

Update: Today was the second time she's been hauled in this week.
The dealer I bought it from only returned my calls after three times
of me calling the salesperson.Their manager stated that GM would only pay for a tow to the nearest dealer and not to where i purchased it.All
I know is that in eleven days that i've had it it's been down seven of
them and I had to miss work today to deal with it.I am second guessing
My purchase and if i had my ways I would get a refund, considering i've
ony driven it three times in eleven days.

Mad as hell,
BB

it's not the car dude, it's your crappy dealer. they should be going out of their way to fix it for you, and you should be dealing directly with the manager. i'm sure you haven't filled out your dealer survey at this point. hold it over their heads and tell them your gonna note to GM that the service was horrible unless they not only fix it ASAP, but give you a rental car for free in the meantime. be firm, what do you have to lose?

Well,at this point im out a large down payment.Im lucky this isnt a everyday driver and we have an extra car, however the dealer did call me back to ask for my GM supplier discount today. Its funny they wont call about a service issue but they willl to get thier money.Ive came close to putting a stop payment on the check for the car until this is resolved.Today I called their GM and service manager and they havent offered me squat as retribution and to add insult to injury the Service manager told me I would have to pay for the tow to thier dealership.

The other bad part is im at the mercy of the dealer in which I didnt buy it
from, and they are in no hurry to fix it.Its funny how dealers will call and bug the piss out of you for a sell but after its done they can could care less.

wait, why aren't you dealing with the dealer you bought it from? listen to me.

TELL THEM THEY ARE PAYING FOR IT.

dude, i didn't get my gfx and stuff installed until a week after i got the car, and i demanded a rental because they sold the car i was looking at originally out from under me.

what is the name of this horrible dealer you are dealing with?

Be sure to get all work orders, invoices and receipts... just in case you end up going down the lemon law path... it'll be good to have the documentation. Good luck.

Ive already started a paper trial and Im fortunate my wife is in the legal field,so we know droves of attorneys. It sucks to wait three years for a car and have to deal with this.I regret not buying it local but in order to get a 45th I had to go to a large
dealer.Im still hopeful that it turns out to be something minor but it erks me that the dealer has had no interest other than getting thier money. My satisfaction is the least of their worries.

thanks again for the comments and support....

Could be the alternator. My truck had the same problem. Changed the battery. Two weeks later, same problem. Had the alternator tested. Although it was putting out 14 volts, it wasn't charging the battery. Replaced the alternator, problem solved.

Please keep everyone informed if and when your car gets fixed. It sounds like it might be "simple" in that (they need to replace the alternator) but the wiring aspect is okay.
