i'm the one who managed to pull a 15.8 out of my 4700lb 5spd truck at C5F & now has a 2000 FRC to play with new camaros

and to add to that, i drove a stock 2011 LS3 camaro a couple months ago & from the way i remember it, my car'll beat it. that's close enough to a L99 comparison

Almost every C5 auto vette I have ever seen run at the track, and I go plenty, runs 13.0-13.4 stock. Most do 13.3. The Mn6`s are all over the place I suppose due to driver. So how exactly is a 13.0-13.3 L99 camaro slower than that? It comes down to the reaction time and how well they hook as to who wins that race auto vs auto.

I have an 08 C6 and I`m not biased, I love both of my cars.

I have longtubes, CAI and a tune on my Camaro when I ran a 2005 LS2 auto Vette with just a Vararam CAI from a 60mph roll race, at 110mph I had it by 1.5 cars. So that is a 400hp Vette stock. I had 2 more mods and a lot more weight. From a dig it would have been worse for that car. I have a friend w/ a 1999 C5 auto w/ longtubes, cat back, CAI and no tune and he can`t keep up w/ my Camaro, he`s went 12.7. I have him by 5 tenths. So other than the tune we have the same mods. Oh and I weigh 600lbs more and have a 6spd auto vs his 4spd auto.

I`ll tell you this as well zebra, the Camaro doesn`t feel fast inside the car, it is very quiet and more detached from the road than my Vette. I feel like I`m going much faster at the same speed in my Vette than the Camaro. That is what you are experiencing. Feeling faster. It should run compareable times to the L99 if stock. road course different story, the Vette will out handle the Camaro. No question.

You would not say that if you saw my fully modded C5. It makes both my very modded Camaro and Vette look silly.

The Vette is lighter and FEELS faster. An L99 with an aggressive tune and tranny tune makes ALL the difference even more so with LT.

I still like how the vette handles vs. the Camaro

power to weight is in the corvettes favor.....the aerodynamic advantage is pretty big as well, just look at the car its easy to tell.

Stock internal L99, stock converter. Bolt on best before blower 12.22@113.29 w/ nothing but ARH headers, catted x-pipe, ADM CAI and a tune on stock Pzero`s! Other car 2008 C6 Ls3, z51, A6, Npp Exhaust, best bonestock pass 11.80@118.82, Number 2 on the Corvette Forums Bonestock fastest list..
