Best Cam for my Camaro
Hello guys,
I have a 2013 Camaro SS (EU Version) Automatic. I want to buy a cam to increase the performance and the sound of my car. Can you tell me the best cam for my Camaro? Thank you all. |

Nobody can tell you the best cam for YOUR Camaro as it is subjective to you. Get in contact with a great shop, there are many on this forum. Speak with them about your goals: desired power, your driving style, desired driveabaility, desired sound, how you intend to use the car(race track, drag strip, etc) and have the shop grind a custom cam to suit YOUR needs.
Everyone has different goals and uses for their Camaro, so no ONE cam is best for ALL. Good Luck man!

I'll be more precise. My Goals: _ driving my car on the road, every day _ increase power _ increase sound Mine is not a race car. I just want to add power and increase the sound! I was comparing these two: _ http://lethalracing.3dcartstores.com...Cam_p_102.html _ http://www.mtiracing.com/mti-racing-...-ls6-1023.html Can I install it on my Camaro? Thank you! That being said, both cams are too big for MY goals and preference. The reason for that is because my car is a daily driver and I dont want to sacrafice that much driveability, when I cam my car I want it to drive like a stock camaro. Everyone is different, and the Night Fury drives great considering its specs. It just isnt right for ME. Next spring I will have my local shop custom spec a cam for me, and will be be closer to a stage 2 cam something in the 220/228 ish spec range. I will of course defer to them, but I want low end power and torque, something I can use and enjoy more readily scooting around town. I also want a idle that is a little less rough than the night fury. I love the sound of the Vengeance Stage 2 cam for example. That cam would probably work perfect for me, but as we can get custom cams for the same price as an off the shelf cam, they why wouldnt you? If I could buy a bespoke suit for the same price as a suit off the rack I would w/o question so why not apply that to everything you buy including your cam?
