Building my own sub box

Is there anyone out there that has built their own sub box, or possibly have the demensions of the Generals box to duplicate, pretty good fabricator just never built my own sub box I got the basics just need measurements to actually do the build. Plus what would be the best amp and speakers to put in it. More of a metal and hard rock fan than rap. Or is this more of a DIY post.

Well, you typically build the box to go with the speaker you've chosen. With your taste in music, a smaller, sealed box application will lend itself to your style of music, and tend to not be boomy. With a proper box, just about any size sub will do what you want, meaning, that yes, a 15" driver can be just as fast as a 10" driver, and not be muddy, and you get more output potential with the 15".

Okay, that said, for these cars, and the want of some trunk space, a 10" or 12" driver will probably be the best bet. They seem to work well in these cars from other people's posts, I have yet to do anything sound system wise.

As far as measurements go, figure out where you want the box, and grab a tape measure. Not trying to be an ass, but it really is that simple. Figure out how much trunk you are willing to give up, do some math to make sure you have enough volume, and build.

Contact Steve from ********, visit the website, and buy one of his package deals! That way, sub(s), box and amp are all right there. Grab the harness to connect to your BA system (assuming that's what is in your car as you have a 2SS) and a wiring kit, and you are good to go with one stop shopping!!

Either way, whether you want to build just to build, or buy and be done with it, good luck! Post pics when you are done!
