the dealership bricked my tcm - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

so today i dropped my car off at the local dealership to have another ecm programmed so i could have a back up and in the process they managed to brick my TCM.. absolutely unable to read with any tool or hand help.. even the dealers MDI.. now its stuck in limp mode 2nd gear only.. and of course its a friday night so they all want to leave and got the "let me know how you make out" what b.s.. is there such thing as a recovery mode for the TCM or is a new one needed ?

you would think that..its gonna get ugly more than likely gonna have to take them to small claims court.. there trying to say that had nothing to do with the tcm being bricked .. but on another note i installed another tcm and everything seems to be good but i thought i had to have the new tcm flashed for my vin ..im not getting any cels and it seems to be driving ok.. does anyone know hat the difference is between the 2010 camaro 6l50 with opt aln and the 6l50 without aln gm calls it a trans upgrade just not sure what the difference is ..thanks for the help

ya had to buy a new ecm and tcm .. programmed the tcm myself with hpt.. then another dealership flashed the ecm.. no more issues
