My dealership gave me military discount, I am a vet but not retired, I have USAA and credit Union Plus I work for Northrop Grumman so there are more discounts. It also helped that the Sales Manager was a Marine Pilot.

I also picked up the military discount, along with the USAA discount when I got my car back in November!

More importantly, Thank you for your service! If you know any military retirees that want to take advantage of this offer that was previously unavailable to them, let them know that the program expires at the end of May, 2010. It's not just for Camaro either, it's good for all GM vehicles except ZR1 and CTS-V.

I came across this post doing some web work for GM. I don't know if your are still in the market but keep searching for a dealer that participates in the program. It is up to each individual dealer whether they want to participate in the GM Military Discount. Call your local dealer, tell them you want to use the discount, and see what they say. If they aren't doing it, simply try a different dealer. Best, Lauren |

Military discount! Hell, YEAH! These guys defended our Nation. They deserve a break after all the BS they had to put up with!

When I bought mine they gave the USAA discount but had no military discount. I live 5 miles from Aberdeen PG's and both Chevy dealers around don't participate. If they are willing to keep there business next to an active Military installation and willing to take our money then they should participate. Just my opinion tho.

I am active duty Army and I bought my Camaro last August. The dealership made no mention of a GM military discount even when I asked (which doesn't surprise me) so I am rather vexed.
This should be retroactive for recent purchases. There are too many predatory dealerships that could care less about how they make a buck. |

Hi guys i need help with EXTRA HASTE!! Im currently in the process of buying a 2011 Camaro 2SS. Im in the Army and deployed (in Taji Iraq as we speak) so obviously i'm trying to use the GM Military Discount (AND USAA 750 incentive). Unfortunately for me im not able to talk face to face the car dealerships so i have got mixed answers on how much the discount is. One delearships said 500 (i know its BS) another quoted me @ 2000 below MSRP. So in that aspect, how much did you pay for your 2011 Camaro (or '10) 2SS w/ the GMMD? the quicker the better!!! I'm scheduled to return home in about 1 month. So im looking @ getting one built, which i have been told takes about 4 weeks. which is around the time im getting home. God knows it would be wonderful to see my wife, 6 month old baby girl AND my Camaro when i touchdown. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Your military discount will save you about $1000 approx and then
you have the $750 additional from USAA. Thanks for your service and be safe. Hope you are home soon!! |
