If you buy from a Costco participating dealer, invoice is the price you should get. No haggling. That's part of the terms of the agreement.

It's a Dingledarm. It's there to dampen side fumbling. If your marzelvanes fumble too much they can cause total protonic reversal. It gets ugly from there. This is really the biggest problem with the new Camaro. That and the tri-pronged blivot.

May be but it's the same as military pricing. The best deal you will get without an arguement. Plus rebates and incentives apply but the dealer may fight that one. Also you get a $500 Costco cash card if you take delivery before 2 jan.

For Chevy make-to-order where dealer doesn't have to finance the car and worry about holdback recuperation, start with this formula:

Configured Invoice - 3% of configured MSRP + fair & reasonable profit

Success depends on the car, market, allocation and not being a jerk about it.

From talking to the sales guy, if I decide to pull the trigger on the car they have coming in I can expect 2k off MSRP with all discounts apllied. Can't wait for them to get it in.

Do the math. Which will cost you more?

Well its not a made to order car. The dealer had four allocations unspoken for and my buddy new I am interested in the car. He called and git the specs that I would want if I was to buy one. He is having one of the sealer cars built to my specs with no obligation to buy as I have no money down etc. Should I choose to buy the real bargaining will begin but what he told ne was just a rough estimate of what I can expect. I know if it sits on their lot while I make up my mind they will have a little bit of interest in the floor plan but not enough to amount to anything. It will also depend on what specials Chevy is running at the time of delivery.

If you're not doing a make to order (you confused me by posting this thread in the 1LE forum) look on the door. There's a sticker and a date stating when the car was manufactured. This will tell you how long the car has been sitting on the lot. The dealer loses increasing percentage of his holdback month to month if he cannot rid of the car. You can calculate how much holdback is left by taking that date adding 30 days to it then subtracting today's date from that calculated date and knowing what percentage GM will give them. But you must offer a fair and reasonable profit. In the 80s this was thought to be $300 on a $30,000 car. And if the cars you're interested in is hot and moving, you'll have less leverage.

It's a 1le. It's IOM 2ss/1le with painted grill, painted engine cover, npp, and audio upgrade. He is ordering it in for me built to my specs but as a dealer car incase I do not like it. As soon as it rolls off the truck it is mine if I want it. It will be a longer wait as they can not place the order until November but I am ok with that. I have always loved the camaro but the vette was just to much fun. The camaro felt sluggish and heavy, from what I have read the 1le fits exactly what I'm looking for. It's either that or back in a vette for me but I at least want to give something else a shot.
