cams aren't really a simple mod. Require you to pretty much dis assemble the engine. pain in butt.

Don't really understand your question though. All bolt ons and cam will give you some type of hp/tq if you upgrade....?

gears are great but expensive, exhaust is a must. we already have a very good traction control system, intake is not worth the money, but a CAI is a must. that might be what you meant. dont tune unless you get headers, because you want to keep the warranty as long as you can. so CAI and cat backs sound like a plan.

long tube headers, high flow cars, exhaust, ported throttle body, Hmmmm, a good tune, CAI cold air intake.

Then you'll want suspension mods too: lowering springs, rear sway bar, trailing arms, rear cradle bushings.

I'd say that's a solid base, would put you around 415 to the wheels.

Also, I second the cam not being a simple mod. It's the equivalent of open heart surgery, but on a car.

one good thing about buying a new car is you have a warranty on your drive train. why would anyone do something to void the warranty like throw a cam in? also, depending on the dealer and you should check first unless you don't care, even CAI may void your warranty. apparently some of us need 20 or 30 hp more than peace of mind. i am no youngster, or new to muscle cars, racing, etc., but i never modded a $40,000 car. pick up an older firebird or camaro. lt1 or ls1 engines are relatively cheap and easy to get huge hp gains. then if you blow your engine have fun re-building it. you guys must have a lot more money than me. those older cars are toys. this car is a big investment to me.

@cugino - to each his own. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would buy a toyota corrolla brand new for $25k and ask you why would you would spend $40k for a car that takes more gas (and premium at that) and has less room to get from point a to point b.

THIS

Once you do those, any other mod like a; cam, supercharger or turbo would help to make your gains even more.
