There were rumors of that being th US version of the El camino...but i think those have faded out now. Still looks really good though!

And Holden Dude...if by 'ute' you mean cars like the holden Ute...then, no. I haven't seen that many...if any at all. but I'm one person.
I see VERY few El Camino type vehicles in my area. Actually, the only El Camino I've seen in YEARS is owned by a local guy that runs a funeral home. His El Camino was actually sold to him by my stepfather, it used to be his when I was little.

I read the rumors about the Holden Ute being brought over here. I am in the side that believes it would be a flop if they projected very high sales. If they bring it over with a very low sales # it might meet them, otherwise...

It's just not a practical vehicle. People rarely even buy regular cab trucks. Double-cab is the preferred style. I personally wouldnt' buy anything smaller than an extended cab myself (I have no need for a double cab, but regular cab is too small).

Dont get your hopes up cause this is a 2 door chop of the Holden Special Vehicles (HSV). IT IS AWESOME LOOKING!!!!!!! This to me is what size the camaro will be. Reminds me of the GTO. Since the picture of the MULE is so bad this gives a better idea of what it looks like. And ive never seen these kind of stripes before but it actualy looks good.

It actually sort of looks like that concept drawing of the 08 or 09 GTO that was floating around the net.

those look like the same wheels on the G8 concept. So i bet its not unrealistic to see those as an option on the productions version.

That's a chop?!?!...Wow.

Speaking of GTO...Jeremy (the guy who rips on anything besides pure Euro cars...) from Top Gear tested the Holden Monaro...the basis for the GTO.

He said that it was comfortable, it was nimble. and FUN! He actually said fun!

Did anyone else chuckle when he said Ford Falcon?

Its weird how names get reused, the Falcon has been out of production in the US since 1970. (i think)

actually, in austraila the Falcon name has never been re used, it has been used since the first one in the 60s to the current model .

That GTO looks pretty bad arse... I like the black on black...
I have seen a few of those getting around mainly in black and silver and they look awesome 307kw i believe..

As for the Falcon as Dave McFly pointed out it has been around since they were released.. So here in Australia we have a Ford Vs Holden rivalry or Falcon Vs Commodore.....

Personally i have hated the falcon.... They always put huge engines in the hot ones but the suspension and handling is a waste of time..

They are currently working on a new model falcon to try and compete with the new commodore or Zeta model... I think the new falcon is being called the Orion....

Heres the link to some of the spy pics for those who are interested..
I think it looks dated and not much different to the old one.

http://www.caradvice.com.au/3211/200...nd-gt-exposed/

Anyways its a ford and therefore sucks...

Good to see a fellow Ozzy Camaro fan, now stop preachen to these guys about our new holden range and tell them about the best holden ever made the infamous VL Turbo it was made around the late 80's and is possibly one of the cheapest cars to modify for consistent high performance.
Mine cost me $6000.00 and $1000 worth of mods gets me 0-100kmh in 6 seconds, not bad i think.
