They could but Nav isn't standard, it is +$2000 or something. Everything listed in the ZL1 chart is. That was my only point. ZL1 MSRP will be higher, loaded vs. loaded might be a wash or maybe not.

It is a ZL1 vs GT500 comparison chart in the ZL1 Dealer's Reference Guide posted this morning. Look in the Sticky section.

Ok guys.... Here is what has become available today... and I'm sorry it's not more. As I suspected, GM is running this roll out like the 2009 ZR1 and the Volt. They are giving dealers full 2012 build out number. This means today they are finding out how many 2012 ZL1s they will have allocations for. There is the possibility of earning more but today they found out minimum. Not all dealers get one.

What they did not find out is WHEN.... The number they found out will now be spread now till June and they will only know a month at a time.

My local dealer gets 3. They have no idea WHEN tho. The first concensus is mid November so I guess it's still up in the air as to exactly when. The big volume dealers will probably get early allocations.

Sorry I don't have better news. At least at this point we know "IF" they get any or not.

That's pretty much exactly what my sales manager told me. He knows how many but not when.

Can you please elaborate on what the first consensus period of mid November means? Will that period be monthly, starting the middle of next month and then every month after? So if my dealer has a total initial allocation of 2 for the 2012 model year, they will find out during the first consensus period next month if one (or two) of those allocations will get picked up for the first production run?

If they don't get anything for the first consensus period, I assume they will have to wait for the next consensus period the following month and so on as to when their allocation will be picked up?

I'm in! One allocated to my dealer in the first quarter and it's mine (as long as the price isn't something crazy). We haven't talked price much (no point when it isn't announced) but I've bought several cars and trucks from him over 20 years and he know I won't pay a mark up. He said in the webcast the comparisons were to $80k cars. I said from a performance comparison at the ring maybe but the literature says the direct competitor is the GT500. We'll see.

I also may have gotten some insite to the Quick order. He is the manager and orders all cars and trucks for the dealership. He said that he always has 2 ways he can order. If he is ordering for stock and know what he wants he uses the quick order because it doesn't include prices and he doesn't need to worry about matching them to a specific customer order. The traditional order configurator includes detailed pricing for customer orders. That said the traditional will not have pricing included for the ZL 1 on Nov.3.

This is one of the systems we use to order our cars from.
