11? Only 11? So that's halfway between 5 and 17. I want to know if you can "squeeze" 20 out of that brute and by any chance if the "mode" you are in while soft peddling it makes a difference at 65mph. IE, 65 mph in mode 1 vs 65 mph in mode 5. Maybe mode 5 lets it roll easier? I'm not too technical, but you get my drift! The electronic controls (modes) must have some impact on cruising MPG. Any GM engineers might have some insight on that?

EDIT: MORE MORE MORE MORE!!! WE WANT MORE STORIES!!

I still love it and I'm just amazed how perfect everything is. Usually you get something bad in a car: steering, brakes, engine, suspension...etc. The ZL1 has everything right - unbelievable.

I got a 0.99g today, with warmer tires. It's just so cold in Cleveland these days...

I took two colleagues for a ride and one needed to go pee as soon as we got back. That's all I can say. I checked the seat - It wasn't wet.

Well if that's all the mpg this car gets I don't want it...

Very nice write up, and the Z is simply AWESOME looking!
Now you need a drain in your drive-way...

Why would you think the PTM mode would have any effect on MPG? Could you get 20 mpg, maybe, if you set the cruise on 55mph and drive on a perfectly flat road or slightly down hill. If you are looking to hyper-mile the Z1, you might be buying the wrong vehicle. Maybe the base is more for you.

So if you just took off and the temp outside is about 50-55F and you're in 2nd at 1/3 of the throttle, going 25 at maybe 2000rpm and you push the pedal 2/3 of the way, you will have a tire spin in Mode 2. It's a monster...

My wife drove it yesterday and just said she likes it. I think she was a bit scared to be excited...

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.
