Traded for an SS/RS
Hello everyone. I haven't had time to update my information, including pic/avatar, but I traded my LLT/RS in on a new 2010 Silver Ice Metallic SS/RS on Saturday morning. The deal was just too good to turn down.
All I can say is what amazing power this thing has and I haven't even opened it up yet. (Doing GM recommended break in). The dealer was awesome as well as the salesman. (I've dealt with him before). One minor glitch. I sat in it last night in my garage to activate OnStar, shut the door and heard a weird tinkling noise. I looked in my rear view mirror and thought it was strange to have ice buildup on my rear window. I got out and looked and the rear window was shattered! And I'm sure there are those of you who will ask, no I did not slam the door. Going to have to get hold of the dealer on Monday first thing. I don't know how long it will take to get a rear window. Maybe they could take one out of one of the other Cars on the lot and put it in since the car is 2 days old now. Still outrageously happy with the car though! Can't wait to open her up! Has anyone else had the rear window break like this? I have not been able to find anything using search. Just want a new window so I can break this bad baby in. |

Congrats on the upgrade! I've been itching to do the same thing.
Don't know what to say about the window shattering. Sounds very strange. Hopefully the dealer will not give you any problems.

Thank you on the congrats!
If you're anything like me and love a car with power, you will have no regrets if/when you trade up! I was going to get an SS in the beginning, but they were just too unreasonable up here in Canada at the time. Well, the prices are still outrageous, but I got into this one for the same price as an LT in Canada! |

I know how you feel about wanting to drive it. I bought my black 2SS/RS on Feb. 3. It has barely left the garage since then because of the snow and ice we had last week. The weather is now getting much better and the snow has melted, but now my long driveway is muddy and the roads are still covered with road salt, which I do NOT want on my brand new SS. The shattering back window is really strange. It's probably either due to the temperature or it was improperly installed at the factory. Hope you can get that fixed without any hassle at the dealer. Good luck
