The C in your VIN for a captured test car

So I understand from a previous post and confirmed with a very reliable source, if you have a C in your VIN that is a captured test vehicle. What exactly does this mean? Have these cars already been run hard on the road? Did they really have more miles on them and they reset the odo to 0? If the 2012 ZL1 are going to be worth more (and I doubt unless you have it parked for a long time) will a captured car be worth less than a "new" D vin car?

Value is based on opinion...
But certainly there are very few of them.

This not correct they are not CTF vehicles.
The 'C' in the VIN is the model year. C = 2012 and D = 2013.
Read the VIN decode page.

I thought the 5th character was "S" for manual, "J" for auto. This was discussed on another thread and Fbodfather chimed in soon after and said I was wrong. Not sure what it means
