Anybody done their own Z/28 cam swap? Needing some help here.

I'm in the process of putting my car back together after having a lifter failure. I'm using the DIY head swap posted on here (Thank you BJJKris !). I had a lifter fail on the number 3 cylinder but roller and cam looked fine. I've cleaned and prepped the block and ready to put the right side cylinder head back on and get to the number 8 cylinder and the lifter will not come out more than about a half inch. I check it out with a bore scope from the other side and the roller and cam lobe look terrible and its obvious that the roller has failed and will move up and down. Time for a new cam.

There seems to be plenty of stuff online for the Vette but not much for the Z/28. I'm hoping there may be some of you here that have done cams on our cars to bounce some questions off of and help get me through doing the cam swap and get the Z/28 specific tips and tricks from the been there done that club.

Thanks in advance
