Fix the vents so it will be better for a DD and you have a winner.

The vents aren't cut out - can do either. My car is a DD, and that was my concern too. I'll take some better pics today.

I understand that. What is the point of having two vents if they are closed all the time? I'd prefer to have them open with some kind of ducting to get rid of the water from rain, washing or whatever...

That is counter intuitive. If you have ducts to reroute the water, it is also rerouting the air flow, making it pointless. The thing to do would be to do what HPE did with the hex vents provide a "drip" pan for winter driving and just open it up during the summer.

You guys know it will not hurt anything to let some water gets in there. All electrical connections are weather tight. If you have one of those cold air inductions with no lid. then it would not be so good to get the air filter wet.

Yup, that's why I don't see it as a big problem unless you have an open cold air intake.

Yeah his shop is quite literally in my backyard. I can cut through this little field from my house and I'm there. - I've got some new pics, I'm just going through them, and I'll post them in a couple mins.

The pics you see right now do absolutely no justice. Wait till we paint it.
