Yep. Vehicles that are boosted with a good tune eat cats over time.

Um it is still illegal.. don't care if you eat them or not.
I'm sorry I'm all for performance and HP. but excessively polluting because you are too cheap or because boost will chew them up is not a valid reason.

Personal preference? Your 510HP motor drinks gas faster than a Honda. You don't feel bad for driving a gas guzzler? You're depleting natural resources rapidly

Your polluting turning a Camaro SS with a 6.2 L/376ci motor, I love pulling up next to a Prius with my cutouts open and 22* of catless overlap on a nice HOT azz day in humid shitcago.
L99 has NO cats, the blown GTO has NO cats, and I sleep well and love the fumes. Op if you want headers and can deal with the CEL light on and the horrible sound when DOD kicks in then just run them. If not just tune it! I tuned mine back in 2010 just 10? Weeks after delivery and I haven't had a problem.

Cats are ineffective until they heat up too. My drive to work is 2 minutes long. My factory cats haven't done sh!t for the environment for 75% of all the miles on the car.
You get headers, and you've moved them even further down the exhaust stream. They say 5 minutes on a typical car before the cat is at operating temp. It would be even longer with headers + HF cats. I'm not worried about the EPA prosecuting me for something that is perfectly legal in my state.

Yep. If you really car for the environment you would be driving a Prius. I too feel that today's cat technology has caught up to the performance levels of today but most high flow cats still throw codes and most feel what's the point. I also feel that today's v8s make less hydrocarbons uncatted vs catted v8s of 20 years ago. Now, if you go with a can with any amount of lope you pollute even more. This website is full of members that don't give a rats a$$ when it comes to cats or no cats. I feel that if you don't care then at least get a proper tune and keep the vehicle well maintained.
Back on subject of the op now.

^^^^YES IT DOES. After the awesome sound of LTs, AFM was the second thing I noticed. You can really tell when it kicks in with headers. That's why I am just parking it until I get my tune in a couple of days. I am not knocking on the Range device. I just want to get the most out of the headers. Can't wait!!

I couldn't give a shit about my pollution when there are countries that only burn leaded gasoline. Fix their pollution before you come after mine.
