No tune with this mod is necessary. It has no more a chance of voiding your warranty than any other CAI.

Tag Ur IT ....I cant believe it ...I actually agree with you. But you are still "it" and no tag backs.

And the New Era is made out of metal, can we say BAD HEATSOAK. The Camaro's stock intake is suffering bad from heatsoak and it is plastic, what the heck you think is going to happen with metal?

There should be a "time out" for people like you who post misinformation....

So you are going to tell me the metal will not take on the heat faster than the plastic?

The new era is nice and has nice gain, but honestl looks lopsided to me and I want som symmetry to my engine bay, and the Vararam advertises more gain on their G8 version so I am willign to wait and see.

The simple fact is yes the metal will heat up and yes the plastic will heat up, either way your going to experience heatsoak in some form. One of the good things about a metal setup is if your considering nitrous eventually it makes a good spot to tap into without messing up the whole intake.

I've got us inquiring about getting a hold of the Vararam intake so i'll keep all you guys posted!!

This crucial part has been on my list for some time. If it comes out and isn't all it's cracked up to be....(like that would happen)...then I'll start looking elsewhere.

IMO, it'll be worth it.
We are doing extensive tests to ensure the high quality and performance of our Camaro unit once we go to full production and "no check engine light!!!" Remember all Vararam units come with our Performance Guarantee - If you don't like it - If you don't love it - If it does not perform the way we say it will - We will gladly take the unit back and pay the shipping both ways!!!!!! The wait will be well worth it and you will be pleased!!!
Thanks
Steve

So if it does come out in mid-august, since there are liek 350 people on the "i'm in list" now, how long are we really looking at?

Once we go into "full production" we are able to process the orders as quickly as we can produce the units - shop guys are estimating being able to do 100-125 in less than a week - given our parts suppliers are keeping up!!!!! Just a rough estimate now - but know that we will not rush production at any time to "just fill orders"!!!! Each unit will be high quality in looks and performance!!!!
Thanks
Steve

OTR systems are the best way to go for cooler inlet air. The Auzzies have been doing it to the Monaro/GTO platform for years. Also... every 90 degree bend in the tubing is equivalent to ten feet of straight pipe of the same diameter. "Fluid dynamics" How come no one mentions that?

Then there's the fact that both the OTR systems for these cars draw fresh air from the front of the vehicle, not the engine bay.

And these OTR kits have about 1/3 the inlet tubing length from filter media to throttle body, versus the dog leg style.

Damn... sucks when facts come into the picture.
