Convertible Underbody Bracing

I had a couple of cars come in on transport, and I've had a few questions about the extra underbody supports, so I took some pics! Enjoy

WOW thanks for those great shots. I can rest easy now. It looks like my Borla axle back exhaust will fit with no problems. Now all I need is my car!!!!!!!!!!

So much for the thought of electric cut-outs. Doesn't look like they'll fit:(

Looks like these can be bolted onto a coupe?

What's that black thing in between the mufflers?

Hey Pony, good choice on color , I love my RJT vert.

Have you received your car yet?
If so, does it have the spring loaded things in the exhuast in this picture? I have been trying to figure out what they are. I have posted on a few other posts here, but no response.

It may be on the L99 vert only, not sure, but my 2010 L99 Coupe did not have them.

I was just under mine tonight. No sign of those valves on the LS3 vert. Is there some kind of gate/trap inside the pipe that those are connected to?

We were looking at the bracing on my car when I was at a car show last week and compared it to a few of the coupes that were there. It looks like most of the bracing can be adapted to the hard top, but we noticed that some of the early coupes have a different shaped shock tower, and the tower brace may not fit them. Others looked like they already had all the holes to bolt it right in.

The black box between the mufflers is just a plastic cover for the lower frame of the unibody. The back of the differential bolts into that frame.

Bodih,

Thanks for checking on your LS3. This may be something only on the L99s. It does appear to be some sort of gate/trap, probably to keep the resonance down when AFM kicks in.
I have released the tension on the springs using a screwdriver to hopefully keep the gates open all the time. It does seem a little louder now, but still seems quieter than my stock 2010 L99 coupe was. Maybe I got to used to the SLP Loudmouth I on my 2010.

I have not had a response from anyone with an L99 vert indicating their exhaust had these or not.

I noticed from your picture that yours seems to gather into a single converter. I'm guessing the first pictures are of a LS3, since it maintains separate pipes the full length, except for the H-pipe.

Melbourne,

Can you get pictures of the area near your A6? I'm very interested in looking at putting a NOWEEDS setup on mine when I get it.

I work at a dealer in SoCal and we have a few 'verts on the lot now. I just ran out and checked and our L99 cars DO have the same spring contraption on the exhaust.
